Welcome!  Lauren here, the face behind Lauren Mac Does My Hair on instagram.  If you haven’t found me on Instagram doing funny reels with my clients, you might have had a friend come to me since I’ve been working in Hoboken doing hair for the last 9 years. If not, welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! 🤗 

I’ve been involved in the beauty industry for the last 16 years and I’m a 4th generation hairdresser.  I was forced by my parents to enroll in beauty school and thank goodness they did because I love everything and anything about this industry. I’ve traveled the world to 5 countries doing hair, I worked NYFW and London Fashion Week, and I represent the #1 color company in the world, Wella. But most of all, I LOVE servicing my guests in Hoboken and Jersey City giving you everyday luxury hair. I’m so grateful this industry has led my to the best opportunities.  

Nothing makes me happier then sharing my knowledge with my guests on how to care for their hair with the best practices and products.  Going through my own hair journey from loosing all of it from chemo (two times!), I really try and hold space for those going through any major hair changes and give them the best ways to care for something that is special to ourselves. 💕   

I love leading the team in Jersey City and being their personal cheerleader. I get to inspire, which goes full circle inspiring me. Education has become a huge part of my job and being head of education for The Chique Collective has been the most rewarding.

So if your looking for a new stylist to give you a luxury experience, talk endless about Bravo, and compare cute pet photos… I hope you get to sit in my chair.

FUN FACTS

• I didn’t take my first international trip until 2018 (Japan!)

• If I could choose any station in the salon for music, it would be Disco or 2008 dance music (IYKYK)

• My Friday night has been the same routine since 2020… A night in with my two handsome cats, sushi, and a murder documentary.
